The comparison

Why not just ask ChatGPT yourself?

You can, and it's a fine start. But one answer doesn't show how often you get recommended across different customer questions.

How it goes in real life

A buyer asks, the assistant names three. Are you one of them?

The assistant searches the web, pulls in a few sources and gives one answer with a handful of names. Whoever is in it gets the call. From dentist to roofer, it works like this in every industry.

  • Mentioned

You're in the answer, and the higher up, the more often you get called.

  • Not mentioned

The buyer probably calls someone else, and you never notice.

Example of an AI assistant on a phone answering buying questions in eight industries, from dentist to car garage. For some questions the business is mentioned, for others it isn't.

Example with made-up businesses. Your scan uses your own industry.
How it works

From a URL to an answer you can act on

  1. 01

    Reading your site

We fetch your home page and work out what you do, where you're based and who you work for.

  2. 02

    Writing twenty buying questions

Not keywords but sentences the way a buyer types them, right before spending money. Your name is never in them.

  3. 03

    Asking the assistants

Every question goes to ChatGPT and Claude, with web search on. In the full scan we ask each question twice, so you see how answers differ.

  4. 04

    Counting who gets named

For each answer we look at which businesses are recommended and in what position. That's where your score comes from.

  5. 05

    Your report and dashboard

You get a report with your score, whether you're named for each buying question, who is named instead of you, and an action plan. It's in your Oddrank account and downloads as a PDF. With monitoring you see your progress there every month.

After the scan

Step by step towards a business that does get named

A report doesn't change anything on your site yet. This is how it continues, and you can stop wherever you like.

  1. 1

    Free scan

    Free

Your site checked, no account needed. Within two minutes you see what's wrong technically.

  2. 2

    Full scan

    €250 one-off, introductory price

Twenty buying questions from your industry to ChatGPT and Claude, measured twice. You see who AI names instead of you, and get an action plan. The report is in your account and downloads as a PDF.

  3. 3

    The call

    No obligation

We go through the report with you and tell you honestly what's worth doing. Often you can do part of it yourself, and we'll say so.

  4. 4

    Done for you

    €499 per month

Oddbird carries out the action plan: copy, markup, technical work, and a page AI can cite. Every quarter we discuss what matters now.

  5. 5

    Re-measured every month

On its own as Monitor: €99 per month

The same twenty questions, measured fresh. You see your trend over time, and get a message as soon as a competitor overtakes you.

Subscribe within 30 days of the full scan and the price of your scan comes off your first month. First quarter fixed, then cancel monthly. Prices exclude VAT.

Frequently asked questions

How do you actually measure this?

We read your site, work out what you offer and to whom, and in the full scan we ask twenty buying questions your customers ask right before they spend money. The free scan checks your site on six areas, from message clarity to AI readiness. The questions go to ChatGPT and Claude, with web access switched on. Then we count which businesses get recommended in each answer, and in what position. We never put your name in the question, because then you only measure whether a model can repeat a name.

Why does my score differ per assistant?

Because they trust different sources. One leans more on comparison sites, the other more on your own site or an industry directory. That's why you get a separate score per assistant: it shows where you're missing out most.

Isn't this just SEO?

It's both. SEO is about a position in a list of blue links; GEO is about whether an assistant names you in an answer that only has room for three businesses. The signals largely overlap: of our 25 checks, 16 count for both. Each finding says which one it is.

Can I run this for my clients?

Yes. You can scan any website, including a prospect's or a competitor's. The report gets its own link that works without logging in, so you can simply forward it. Want several scans a month for your clients? Email info@oddbird.nl.

How often does a score like this change?

Often enough to measure, not so fast that you need to check it daily. A repeat scan every month shows whether your changes actually work.

How quickly will I see results?

Your report is ready within a few minutes, so you know right away where you stand. What you change after that, AI assistants don't pick up immediately: they have to read your site again, and the sources they cite have to move too. Expect weeks to a few months before you see it in the answers. That's why a subscription re-measures every month, and why the first quarter is fixed: one month is too short to tell whether it works.

What do I need to do myself?

For the scan, nothing but entering your website. After that it's your choice. You can take on the action plan from your report yourself or hand it to your web developer: each point says what to do. Or Oddbird carries it out, one-off or with Done for you. In the call after your full scan we then agree what we'll do and what access we need.

Couldn't I just do this myself?

Partly, yes, and we'll tell you so. Asking an assistant yourself is a fine start, and many points in the action plan you can change yourself. What's hard to do on your own: asking twenty buying questions without your own history counting, asking each one several times, and repeating that every month in the same way so you can see whether things improve. That's what Oddrank does.

What does this cost compared to an agency or an in-house marketer?

In the Netherlands, an in-house SEO specialist earns around 47,000 euros gross a year in 2026, before holiday pay and employer costs (Searchlab). An SEO agency costs most small and mid-sized businesses 1,000 to 2,500 euros a month, at hourly rates of 85 to 135 euros (Next Win, Searchlab). A one-off audit from an agency alone easily costs 750 to 3,500 euros. With us, the full scan is a one-off 250 euros, Monitor is 99 euros a month and Done for you is 499 euros a month, excluding VAT. That works because our measuring is automated: the hours go into work on your site, not into making reports.

Where can I find my report, and can I get it as a PDF?

After the full scan you create an Oddrank account. It holds all your measurements and reports in one place, and with a subscription you also see your progress month by month. You can download every report as a PDF with one click, handy to keep or pass on. The report also has its own link that works for six months.
